John W. Gibbs, CEO
Mr. Gibbs has more than 37 years of design, construction and industrial managerial experience. Mr. Gibbs is a certified professional engineer in the state of Florida. His specialties include streetscape, parks and recreation, lift stations and drainage improvements. Mr. Gibbs started the company in 1990 and has been very successful in growing G&R into a very successful contractor.
Ted Ferguson, President
Mr. Ferguson carries with him more than 27 years of design and construction industry technical and managerial experience across numerous market sectors including: transportation, utilities, tunnels, wastewater, and dams. Mr. Ferguson’s primary focus has been in project management and operations. Mr. Ferguson is President of Gibbs & Register, Inc. and has been instrumental in leading the operations of G&R during the last five years. Mr. Ferguson is a licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida, Louisiana and Georgia.
Doug Thomas, Vice President
Mr. Thomas takes great pride in delivering exceptional quality work. He began at Gibbs & Register as an equipment operator and worked his way up to Vice President of Field Operations. He has over 17 of years supervisory experience and is proficient at training and motivating employees. His vast experience and strong ethics are great assets to Gibbs & Register and our clients.
Heather Gibbs Winters, Corporate Secretary
Mrs. Winters has 20 years of experience in the construction industry. She began working part time as a Runner, Receptionist, and Project Administrator for Gibbs & Register, Inc. (G&R) while attending high school. After working in this capacity for several years, she was able to obtain work in the construction industry during and after college. In 2000, after gaining additional experience in the construction field, she was offered a full time position at G&R. Mrs. Winters has an excellent working knowledge of our office and field operations. Her tenure here at G&R has allowed her to work in multiple capacities, which includes: Office Manager, Estimating (Bid Coordinator and Estimator), Project Management, Risk Management, Safety, EEO, and Human Resources.
Mark Bateman, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bateman has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, operations and has held numerous executive management roles at blue-chip companies. Mark has lived in Barcelona, Spain and during that period was responsible for real estate development and European expansion of GE/Universal's resorts. Mr. Bateman’s experience includes the review and evaluation of all design, construction, operational finance and reporting processes and procedures for large corporations, civil engineering and construction companies, government contractors and manufacturing businesses. He has significant financial modeling and fund raising experience and has led negotiations with a consortium of banks for various credit facilities totaling $2.5 Billion dollars.
